Walking through the halls of Clarke you find yourself walking past many individuals with different personalities and talents. Students can be talented at playing an instrument in band or making art to put on walls, but you do not always get a career three point holder walking through your halls. Troy “Money” Morgan, Senior at Clarke, has been known for his three point shooting ability since any of us can remember. November 29, 2016 is a day Morgan will not forget. Although they suffered a 48-63 loss, Morgan broke former Clarke alumni, Brad Burgess' record for three pointers made in a career with 167. Beating Burgess’s former 166 record. Morgan as of January 9, 2017, has 186 three pointers made in a career. Morgan’s career three point percentage is 32%.

I got to ask Morgan a few questions about this experience. I asked, “As a freshman, did you ever see yourself breaking this record?” Morgan responded with “I never really thought about it until I went to check what the record was and I just happened to be tied. I was mainly trying to break O’Tools record of most threes in a season.” I then asked, “How did it feel once you got the record?” He responded with, “It made me proud of my career and what I have done for Clarke. It is also pretty cool to see that 3 of the seniors this year have broken some sort of record. Me with the 3 point career, Grant with blocks in a career and season, and now Brandyne with points in a game.” My finals add on was, “Any last words?” Morgan's final words were, “I just hope someone comes along and breaks it and gets to experience what I have experienced.”
